Katrina is a technical expert and consultant on Women, Peace and Security (WPS), Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), gender and youth in peacebuilding, government relations, and policy development.

Gender and Youth Policy-making
Katrina is passionate about inclusive policy-making. She has contributed to developing and streamlining the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) resolutions into national and local policies. The emphasis on government co-leadership with women and young people is at the core of Katrina's approach to institutionalization.

Leading, the consultation and drafting process of Chad's first National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)

Serving as technical partner and lead advisor to the first National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security in DRC, supported by Global Affairs Canada's Peace and Stabilization Operations Program (PSOP)

Advising civil society leaders for inputs to Rwanda's third National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, in collaboration with Benimpuhwe and the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF)

Briefing the U.S. State Department for the 2023 Women, Peace and Security Strategy and National Action Plan, in collaboration with the Secretary's Office of Global Women's Issues (S/GWI) and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP)
